Only Fools and Horses

‘Only Fools and Horses’ stars coming to Lanarkshire for an evening of stories, questions and nostalgia

Show favourites Mickey Pearce, Jevon, Tony Angelino, Mental Mickey and Alan Perkins will discuss their time on the seminal sitcom

A cushty night awaits Lanarkshire Only Fools and Horses fans this summer when stars of the classic comedy rock up in Airdrie – possibly in a dodgy three-wheel van.

You know it makes sense to attend the exciting event just announced for August, which will see show favourites Mickey Pearce (Patrick Murray), Jevon (Steven Woodcock), Tony Angelino (Philip Pope), Mental Mickey (Daniel Peacock) and Alan Perkins (Michael Fenton Stevens) discuss their time on the seminal sitcom.

The talented troupe are being brought to Airdrie Working Men’s Club by friend-of-the-stars Ross Owen.

irdrie man Ross is no stranger to welcoming famous faces to his home town as part of his popular radio show, where he has interviewed household names including Tom Hanks, Ricky Gervais and Mark Hamill.

The Only Fools crew join the likes of wrestler and Scot Squad actor Grado, stars of Still Game and Shaun Ryder in heading to Airdrie for a chat with Ross in front of a live audience.

The latest event hosted by Ross, being held on August 11, will give Only Fools fans the chance to hear from the five actors, quiz them on their careers and, for VIP ticket holders, a professional photo taken with the quintet.

‘Mickey Pearce’ (Patrick Murray) and ‘Jevon’ (Steven Woodcock) are among the characters coming to Airdrie

People are also invited to dress as their favourite characters from the sitcom, with a prize being handed out to the best outfit, and an auction will see signed memorabilia up for grabs.

Ross told Lanarkshire Live : “This is a very exciting show as, like so many others, I absolutely adore Only Fools and Horses .

“The fact that you can still watch the episodes after all these years, some of which you’ve seen dozens of times, and still laugh at the jokes is testament to how great a show it was.

“VIP ticket holders will get to meet the five stars for a photo, which will be followed by a live on-stage interview with behind the scenes stories and a Q&A giving you the chance to put your own questions to the actors personally.

Daniel Peacock, who played ‘Mental Mickey’, is set for a memorable evening

“You might even end up on the stage re-enacting a famous scene from Only Fools with the cast, and perhaps Tony Angelino will treat us to his infamous rendition of the song Cwying live on stage – that will be worth the ticket money alone.

“People can come dressed as their favourite characters from the show for the chance to win a special prize on the night.

“Can you laugh like Boycie? If so, you might find yourself on stage doing it in front of the actors in our Boycie’s Laugh Challenge Segment .

“There will also be an auction with your chance to bid for some cracking Only Fools memorabilia signed by the cast.

“If you want a great night out with a difference, this is the show for you.”
