Kylie Jenner says a boy making her feel ‘unkissable’ as a young teen prompted her lip fillers

Kylie Jenner is one of the most well-known women of the world, and that is in part due to her most famous feature — her lips — and the lip kits they inspired.

But all the cosmetic mogul’s fame and fortune may not have been had a boy not made her feel “unkissable” when she was a young teen.

The 23-year-old reality star opened up to television host Andy Cohen about her insecurities during the first part of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion, which aired on Thursday on E!. Watch a snippet of the episode above.

Cohen asked Jenner if her “lips and [her] insecurities around them” is what helped her “catapult into the beauty industry,” to which Jenner said, “For sure. I think my love for makeup started with my insecurity with my lips.”

“I had really small lips, and I didn’t ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses and a guy said to me, ‘Oh my God, you’re such a good kisser, but you have such small lips,’ or something like that,” the personality said.

“From then on, I felt unkissable.”

“I had an insecurity because this guy said something to me one time,” the Life of Kylie star continued.

“Then I got an obsession with makeup because I would overline my lips and it just made me feel confident.”

It was at this point that her mother Kris Jenner interjected, joking that her youngest daughter should name one of the lip kits after the boy.

Her sister Kendall Jenner also chimed in on the joke, saying the mogule should “do a collab with him.”

“I obviously don’t think about it now,” Jenner told Cohen, saying she has moved on from her insecurities.

Jenner came clean about her lip fillers in a 2015 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, after months of media speculation.

She also commented on her insecurities in a 2017 episode of her E! reality series, Life of Kylie.

“I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty. I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips,” Jenner said.

“And then finally I was like, this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done.”
