Sir David Jason has secretly had bionic eyes fitted to stop him weeping uncontrollably.
The Only Fools And Horses icon had tubes fitted behind his eyeballs after he started crying with no explanation.
The Del Boy legend, famous for catchphrases like, “This time next year we’ll be millionaires” and “Mange tout, Rodney”, even told doctors how to improve the devices.
Sir David, 83, told fans he’d had a “new bionic body part” fitted. He said: “I needed a canalicular bypass.
“Stay with me, it’s not quite as painful it sounds. The canal in question was in my eye, where a little blockage had started causing it to get a bit weepy.
