Even though the actress now has an amazing $75 million net worth, her parents refuse to take money from her. They won’t even let her pay for their dinner.
“Like to this day, I have never paid for dinner,” Kunis told Howard Stern during an interview. “I’ll be like, ‘Let’s go out to dinner for your birthday Dad’. And then he calls the restaurant before we get there and puts his card down.”
Kunis added that, now that she has the means, she would “love to treat” her parents. However, neither her mother nor father will allow it.
“This has been a huge problem,” she said. “I cannot stress to you how stubborn they are. And by the way, they’re going to be listening to this going, ‘That’s right!'”

Mila Kunis was born in Ukraine in 1983. But her family emigrated when she was seven. They arrived in America with only $250 to their name.
“That was all we were allowed to take with us,” Kunis spoke with The Telegraph about her upbringing in 2011. “My parents had given up good jobs and degrees, which were not transferable. We arrived in New York on a Wednesday and by Friday morning my brother and I were at school in L.A.”
Her father, Mark Kunis, was a mechanical engineer but had to work as a cab driver. Her mother, Elvira, was a physics teacher who ran a pharmacy. Both worked hard to ensure that their children had a good life.
“I grew up in LA, I didn’t grow up wealthy or even middle class, we were pretty poor and you learn how life works very quickly,” Kunis said in an interview with NDTV, claiming that her poor upbringing helped her become successful later in life.
Through her parent’s example, Kunis learned that she had to work hard to get what she wanted in life. She knew she wanted to become an actor very early in life after her father enrolled her in acting classes at age nine. Shortly after, she landed her her first professional gig, which was a Barbie commercial.

By 1994, she had landed her first television role, making a small appearance on Days of Our Lives and two appearances on Baywatch. Later on, she minor roles on television shows such as 7th Heaven, and Walker, Texas Ranger, as well as supporting roles in films such as Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, and the Angelina Jolie film Gia.

“I’m not setting up a trust for them,” Kutcher explained in a 2018 interview on Dax Shepherd’s Armchair Expert podcast.
“We’ll end up giving our money away to charity and to various things. My kids are living a really privileged life, and they don’t even know it. And they’ll never know it because this is the only one that they’ll know.”
“If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I’ll invest in it,” the actor added. This was not the first time Kunis or Kutcher have spoken about how they don’t want their kids to grow up too spoiled.
