Some of London’s big money properties are mainly located in the neighbourhoods of Hampstead, Belgravia or Kensington and Chelsea. Here you’ll find multi-million pound townhouses, mansions and flats. But, Enfield has an exclusive ‘Millionaire’s Row’ of its own.

Just off The Green in Winchmore Hill is the highly desirable Broad Walk, where house prices sell for an average of £3,150,000, according to Rightmove. Along Broad Walk you’ll find exclusive, rarely-for-sale homes. Most of the properties are large, detached mansions, with gates at the front.

The pavement along the road is made up of red tiles, much unlike an ordinary grey slab pavement. And, one of the properties was used in an episode of Only Fools and Horses. Fans of the show have spotted the house in the episode Yuppy Love, which first aired in January 1989.

Rodney meets Cassandra, who offers him a lift home. After seeing the expensive road Cassandra lives on, Rodney feels ashamed to tell her where he really lives in Nelson Mandela House. So, he decides to pretend he lives on an expensive, upmarket road called Kings Avenue.

Broad Walk was used as the location for Kings Avenue, Peckham. Unfortunately for Rodney, Cassandra soon finds out where he actually lives, but they agree to meet again. Behind the scenes photos show a fake road sign for Kings Avenue on Broad Walk during filming.

The home where Cassandra dropped off Rodney still stands on Broad Walk today and looks almost identical. Another of the houses was used as The X Factor house during the 10th series in 2013. During the live shows, contestants like Sam Bailey and Luke Friend lived at number 9a Broad Walk, which used to be owned by singer Lionel Richie.

There are currently two properties for sale on Broad Walk, both priced at £4 million. One is a stunning six-bedroom, six-bathroom detached family home spread across 6,800 square feet. The property has five reception rooms, an open plan kitchen, a garage and off-street parking.

The front door opens to a large hallway with a grand staircase. There’s a study located directly on the left, and two large reception rooms. A utility room leads off the kitchen. At the back of the house is a conservatory with views of the extensive garden.

The first floor houses five bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has an additional dressing area. The sixth bedroom, a reception room and kitchenette are located on the top floor. An epic games room is found at the bottom of the garden, with enough room for a snooker table, and more.

Meanwhile, a separate BBQ room is located in the back garden, perfect for hosting guests in summer. Other features include two additional WCs, and a guest cloakroom. The family home is located just a short walk from Winchmore Hill station, and the beautiful Grovelands Park. There’s even an entrance to the park along the road.

This Broad Walk home is adorned with wooded floors and panelling on the walls. The driveway is accessed from electronic gates, with plenty of space for many cars.

Havilands, an estate agents that operates in the area, previously told MyLondon: “N21 has some very premium roads, like Broad Walk, Seaforth Gardens, Branscombe Gardens and Eversley Crescent with its luxury detached homes that are rarely available for sale.”

According to property website Rightmove, the last home on the road sold in November 2021. Only one other property sold last year.
