That '70s Show

A Character in Netflix’s That 70s Show Spinoff That 90’s Show Will Be Gay

The Foremans will return to our TV screens in a spinoff of the iconic series That 70s Show, titled That 90s Show!

“Hello, Wisconsin,” the official logline reads. “It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”

The series is still in the pre-production stages, but Netflix has announced the cast and character descriptions, including the return of Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as Red and Kitty. We’re also getting some LGBTQ+ representation this time around. Well, at least more than Eric’s gay classmate played by Joseph Gordon Levitt.

Reyn Doi will play Ozzie. “Everyone loves them some Ozzie. He’s insightful, sarcastic and has perspective beyond his years. Ozzie is gay and impatient with the world for not being as accepting as his friends,” the official character description reads.

The young Hawaiian actor has had previous hilarious roles in Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar and Drama Club. It’s unclear how the age of these young actors will shape the series, but we can’t wait to check out.
